Installing iLife & iWork ’09

Not sure why, but I have this habit of wandering around while I’m on the phone.

via web

Saw a woman using a pay phone today. How retro.

If @beep had a full beard, he’d be sitting across from me in the subway.

via Twitter for iPhone

A full day of QA ahead - loading up on coffee.

via Twitter for iPhone

My mouse is steadily getting less and less mighty.

via Twitterrific

After two weeks of visitors, our apartment is now very quiet.

via Twitter for iPhone

A bit ridiculous when a website is so slow that I can dig a phone number out of my file cabinet faster than I can look it up on the website.

@97bottles Not going anywhere. And I’ll be patient, I promise. ;)

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to 97bottles

@97bottles Figured as much - just know that the only time I’m likely to use it is when I’m out, and it runs too slow to do that right now.

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to 97bottles

@97bottles 97bottles.com is just painful to use on an iPhone, which is where it would be most useful.

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to 97bottles

@greghoyboy Johnnie Walker Black Label, by any chance?

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to hoyboy

Good, won’t have trouble hearing on the subway with this pair. Related: don’t try them at full volume.

via Twitterrific

New Apple In-Ear Headphones just showed up. Going to compare to old headphones now.

via Twitterrific

@vpieters Were you doing that to reload and bypass the cache (multiple F5s)? If so, just use Ctrl + F5 next time.

via web in reply to vpieters

Think I just found the error in my code that was baffling me for quite a while.

via Twitterrific

@jkrums was just on MSNBC….

via web in reply to jkrums

Quite the phenomenon watching @jkrums’ followers jump up by the hundreds every few mins after posting the first Hudson plane crash photo.

via web

@jlbruno I live very close to where the plane went down. Scary to think what would have happened had it crashed into Manhattan.

via Twitterrific in reply to jlbruno

@GraphicsGeek I do now. :) Still would prefer the @name to go to the tweet list, though.

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to GraphicsGeek

Wish Tweetie would go right to the latest tweets when you select an @reply. Always want that, to see what is being replied to.

Waiting to get a table for Mexican. Fresh guacamole will make it with the wait.

via Twitter for iPhone

Just booked tickets to go visit my sister and her fiancé in 2 weeks. Excited.

via Twitterrific

Related: I love living in the city. Travel is so much more accessible than when I lived in a small town.

via Twitterrific

Looking for flights to Madison, WI to visit my sister, who just got engaged.

via Twitterrific

Damn you, Visio. Damn you to hell.

via Twitterrific

If Visio locks up one more time….

via Twitterrific

Converting a Visio document to PDF takes FOREVER.

via Twitterrific

Also, Chase’s mobile site sucks.

via Twitter for iPhone

Chase’s idea of an iPhone app is a splash screen to the mobile chase.com. That’s the best you can do, Chase?

via Twitter for iPhone

This headache doesn’t bode well for dodgeball tonight.

via Twitter for iPhone

@jlbruno DM me your email and I’ll hook you up later on tonight.

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to jlbruno

In line for Artichoke pizza.

via Twitter for iPhone

@dkr Looking forward to checking it out!

via web in reply to dkr

@pierskarsenbarg Indeed. Always nice to see old friends on Twitter!

via web in reply to pierskarsenbarg

@markboulton Does that mean you’ll be inclined to throw a few mistakes in, just to be able to use the errata page? ;)

via web in reply to markboulton

At the rate this line is moving, I’m not sure I’ll make it to the counter before the Post Office closes. Only an hour left, after all.

via Twitter for iPhone

@somerandomdude Hoping lots of people will check it out – it’s great work. :)

@snookca Totally agree – I ALWAYS find myself skimming when reading on the screen. If I want to read something in it’s entirety, I print it.

via Twitterrific in reply to snookca

@rogieking I’ve been using it for a while now, and am fairly happy with it.

via Twitterrific in reply to rogieking

Why would any code editor not have “Show Line Numbers” enabled by default? Coda, I’m looking at you.

via web

Has Tweetie has been choking lately on loading Tweets for anyone else?

via Twitter for iPhone

Yeah, so make that 5. He’s singlehandedly losing the game.

via Twitter for iPhone

And yes, watching slightly delayed on DVR. ;)

via Twitter for iPhone

Was debating about tweeting how bad Delhomme is playing. Then he threw his 4th interception.

via Twitter for iPhone

@greghoyboy No, but there were 2 more trees dumped on the ground right outside the building door.

via Twitterrific in reply to hoyboy

Someone left their old Christmas tree just sitting in our elevator. Asshat.

@cameronmoll My votes: 1. Eiffel Tower, 2: Tower Bridge, 3: Colosseum, in that order.

via Twitterrific in reply to cameronmoll

@jlbruno Was anyone ever perfectly happy about the DRM’d music?

via Twitterrific in reply to jlbruno

My order from Every Man Jack came with a hand-written note and sample lip balm. Nice touch.

via Twitterrific

@dkr Have Rum and Cokes, of course!

Engadget’s coverage seems a bit snarky, so far.

via Twitterrific

Macworld time….

via Twitterrific

@greghoyboy That many? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it work….

via web in reply to hoyboy

Reading @gruber’s Macworld predictions. Always a good read.

Sending off a fairly long email about how I got my start in web design and recommendations for breaking into the industry. Hope it helps.

via web

@97bottles Smithwick’s is great on tap – you can find it at most Irish pubs. Also, Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale is a fantastic bottled beer.

via web in reply to 97bottles

Servers are down, calling it a day.

via web

@alabut I did think of one thing – I always design everything in 72 or 96 DPI and convert to 300 just before printing. Perhaps that’s it?

via web in reply to alabut

@303zachary Ah, now I got it. For me, it boils down to my first explanation – enjoyment vs. addiction. I wouldn’t regularly smoke anything.

via web in reply to 303zachary

@303zachary How so? I’m not following.

via web in reply to 303zachary

@alabut What version of Fireworks? I seem to remember older versions being a bit more buggy than CS3/CS4.

via web in reply to alabut

@303zachary I wouldn’t even consider smoking cigarettes. It’s a “smoking for enjoyment” vs. “smoking as an addiction” thing.

LMAO – with that last tweet, it now says I’m a VOLCANIC 140°F. They give themselves quite a bit of relevance, I’d say.

@Brilliantcrank Will do. Any specific suggestion? I’ll report back in a few weeks.

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to Brilliantcrank

@Brilliantcrank Plan to have my first cigar while a good friend of mine is here in NYC. Already drink scotch, and only 24. Hmmm….

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to Brilliantcrank

With that, I’m 0 for 2 with my playoff picks. (Won’t say who won yet in case anyone is watching delayed on TiVo)

via Twitter for iPhone

Chargers defense is doing their job. Offense needs to stop turning it over in the red zone, now.

via Twitter for iPhone

@mezzoblue getYear is deprecated in favor of getFullYear. As you found out, some browsers return the number of years since 1900 for getYear.

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to mezzoblue

@mezzoblue You probably know this and were just making a point but getFullYear() is what you want.

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to mezzoblue

Went two for two in today’s volleyball games today.

via Twitter for iPhone

On my way to play volleyball. Two matches today.

@alabut I’ve never had any major problems. That said, I only use it for stuff that will be printed with digital printing.

via Twitter for iPhone in reply to alabut

@zeldman Thanks. Figured as much, but wanted to make sure. I’m hoping to attend one of the conferences this year, but not sure which yet.

via web in reply to zeldman

@zeldman Does your Twitter discount code have an expiry?

via web in reply to zeldman

@danrubin Make sure you wipe off the spit that is sure to have accumulated because your face was too numb to feel.
