A New Toy

Last night, I decided to pick up a new toy. It's a Dell Inspiron 1100 notebook. It was partly a business decision, and partly just something I've been wanting to buy lately. Overall, I'm not a big fan of notebooks, as I prefer the power and speed of desktop computers. Since I plan to continue using my desktop for most of my work, I decided to pick up one of their less costly models, as the specs on it were good enough for what I plan to use it for - work while I'm traveling.

It has a Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz processor, with a 30 GB hard drive and 256 MB of RAM. Nothing incredible, but it's plenty to do a little bit of web design or programming on.

Thats pretty nice. Yea I am more of a desk top guy myself, because its harder to mod a laptop. I am building my brother a new comp for christmas too though. So is that p4 or centrino or celeron or what?

It is a Pentium 4. Should have said so the first time around, so I've gone back and edited the entry.

Not 100% sure what Windows Small Business Server is/what it includes, and certainly have no experience with it. But, I'll tell you right now that it's non-inclusion of FrontPage is not a bad thing. The code generated by FrontPage is totally and completely incompliant with any W3C standard, and is geared toward only working in Internet Explorer. I'd add that to your list of "don't use" software.
