More Autumn Updates

Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 12:39 am | Comments off

I spent a bit of time upgrading this site to the latest and greatest version of TypeSpace, today. This site is now running the most up-to-date version possible. There will only be minor changes between the version I am now running and the version that will be released as the public beta.

Here are a couple of the major things that have been added since the last version I was running:

Obviously there's a lot more than that, but those are the major things that I thought I'd point out. I also completely re-made the administrative interface, though as it stands, it's still ugly. Hopefully I can get around to completely re-designing it before it is fully released (beta testers, you'll just have to live with the ugly, for now... ;)

So, let me know what you think, especially in regard to the comment editing. Go ahead and give it a try. It's time-based editing, so you'll have 15 minutes after you make the comment to go back and edit. Also, comments that were edited will say so at the bottom, so people know that you edited your comment.

...one more step closer to getting the public beta out there.

Boowah! Fish.

I really do like the design. Nice and precise with that clean scent of a lemon fresh breeze.. =) Although, I do concur that when I swing by to hang.. if I didn't know where I was going.. I might not know where I am. Something witty is needed to identify.. and the sad fact is that I just sat here pondering what little wit I have to help.

I'm going back to lurking.

*lurk*

Awesome Ryan, now the only thing that needs updating is the preview. It still goes buy your old comments.

I've recently completely re-written the comment system for my blog. Simple is definitely better.

Lets have a look at this editable comment...

Everything seems to be working fine when I test on this end. I tried from two different computers and it worked fine both times.

What's happening (or not happening) when you guys try to edit your comment? You're sure you're hitting "save" and not just "preview", right? (Yes, I know I'm asking the obvious...)

I am a goldfish, swimming in the sky watch me drown when I get [edit]really[/edit] high.

As you can see the edit function works.

When Typespace is made available publically I'll deploy it on my server and write a review. ;)

I STILL can't save changes :-(

I posted my first comment, clicked edit, made my changes and clicked save. Comment was displayed without changes. What am I doing wrong?

Ryan, you know you've made it when A-list celebs like Jennifer Aniston post comments on your blog ;-)
