Posted this over at Cameron Moll's site, so I figured I'd better post it here, too. Coming soon.

Nice. I'm assuming this is a redesign?

Wow O.O Looks great!

I was just looking through the ones over at Moll's, and was thinking "Gees, you could make a whole new CSS Zen Garden out of all these!"

You do some good work Ryan and the help you provide on forums is top notch but (i hate to say it) nothing i have seen is ground breaking. The above design i fell i have seen a million times and i do like it but i have already seen it. Like watching you favorite movie again, you love it but you know whats going to happen.

Chris - let's not judge the design before we see it. Who knows? It may be completely different; he may have optimized it much more. There may be new CSS techniques that he developed, which I'm afraid he's notorious for. Let's wait and see, Chris, because in all actuality, you don't _know_ what's going to happen. ;)

Looks beautiful Ryan, keep up the good work. I always wonder what happens in a redesign, though, when most of the inner-content graphics are either consciously or subconsciously designed best to go with the old design (i.e., using the same colors, the same feel, etc..)

kartooner - Yep. Coming soon(er or later)... ;) I've not even finalized the design yet, so don't expect it tomorrow, but it's steadily getting closer and closer.

Daniel - I know, I know. There really aren't enough hours in the day. I'm currently contemplating a few ideas on getting it out the door.

Chris - "...(i hate to say it) nothing i have seen is ground breaking. The above design i fell i have seen a million times and i do like it but i have already seen it."

You're probably right - it likely won't be wildly original. Little on the web is. However, it will, in my opinion, be vastly better on multiple levels than what I currently have, (not just the design).

Everyone else - Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully the final design will live up to all your expectations. :)

Looks really sharp... thanks for the linky, lots of great design going down over there.

lol, as soon as TypeSpace comes out, I'll get to work on a non-fixed-width stylesheet for it. :)

I hope it isn't a redesign...I love the current design!

Ryan ... no worries ... it only helped me procrastinate, I enjoy your blog, and i just really thought i would enjoy your blogging software. Maybe v2 if you write a nice little app to transfer from txp, as i just put my new site up.

Also I hope the comment about your design was not offensive ... was purely a opinion from someone who has no design background and color blind at that !

Keep up the good work !!

add: Wow ...editing of a comment _drool_ !

Mike - Excellent. I'm planning on creating a "resources" section on the TypeSpace website once it is released, and I'm sure there are people out there who would prefer a liquid layout. ;)

Dante - Yes, it's a redesign. Hopefully it'll put the current design to shame, and you might just like it better. :)

Daniel - I hope my software will live up to your expectations! From my point of view, there are still many, many things that need to be added, but, it also has some unique features, such as user comment editing - at least I'm unaware of it being in other blog software.

As far as your opinions about my current design for this site, two things:

1. If I can't take criticism, that's my problem, not yours. ;)

2. I agree with you, I don't like this current design all that much anymore, either (probably just too much looking at it), but, that's why a new design is coming...

I'm looking forward to this redesign. It looks really sharp from what we can see in the cropped screengrab. I'm also working on a redesign for my blog, but it's taking a little longer than I had planned. I'm concentrating a lot more on information organization and management in this version so that things are more enjoyable for what few readers I have.

I'm also looking very much forward to the release of TypeSpace. It sounds like you have a lot of great ideas for the project and as it stands right now, I might might just have to switch over to TypeSpace when it goes final.

Hmm looks like a design I'm making.
Red and black are so dramatic colours ( also signs of danger ;) )

Maybe I'm in need of some rethought now. :(
